C.O.G. (2013) Review by ilikeimdb from Arlington, VA USA
I saw this film as part of Frameline 37 in San Francisco. It'sill-conceived right from the start, with a fairly unbelievable plotalong with absurd plot details. Strangely, it's also devoid of anyemotional depth regarding any important topic (e.g., finding oneself,religious conflict, class wars, sexual coming of age angst, small-townblues). I'd give this film a higher rating if it weren't such a wasteof talent, particularly Corry Stoll's. The script starts off with ascatological (but totally vacuous) bang and continues its vacuousadventure right until its nihilist end. It's a mushy apple withunattractive worms and I advise not biting.
